Honoring King’s Legacy With Kindness
Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a time for us to look outward and to focus on the needs of others. School-aged children are being taught the power of peace, colleagues and families are coming together to perform service, and King’s lasting legacy of promoting equality surrounds us.
This year, we are pleased to honor King’s memory and make the winter a little warmer for children in need. We are happy to donate coats to children under the care of Carson Valley Children’s Aid (CVCA) in Fort Washington.
This non-profit provides an array of services with a focus on children and youth including behavioral health treatment, foster and residential care, and education support in Philadelphia, Montgomery and Delaware counties. CVCA’s fundamental belief is children, youth and families are capable of overcoming adversity to realize their potential and thrive.
As we look outward in our community, we continue to search for ways that we strengthen Joey’s legacy. Like Dr. King’s legacy, we strive to help those in need through a spirit of kindness and being a light in the darkness.
